Wim Rietveld steel wallunit 663 for Gispen, 1954
Wim Rietveld modular 663 for Gispen.
‘Wim Rietveld 1924-1985’ (son of) ‘663’ wall unit by Gispen from 1954. This modular wall rack was first shown to the public at the ‘10th Triennale in Milan’. The design was crowned there and Wim received the ‘Diplome d’Onore', the highest award.
This is a clean, 100% original (all paint work is original) example. Production stopped already after 4 yrs in 1958. Therefore this model is quite rare, especially in this condition.
The unit has been standing in the same room for 65 yrs and has been hardly used hence there is hardly ‘wear and tear’.
